ウーファーさんの活動の90％は料理となり、残りの10％が知り合いの農場にお手伝いにいくことです。
なので、料理が特に上手でなくても構いませんが、料理に興味があるウーファーさんを募集します。
お料理は、キッチンにある食材をみて、ご自由に作っていただきます。
90% of the wwoofers' activities are cooking, and the remaining 10% are helping out on farms of people we know.
So you do not have to be a particularly good cook, but we are looking for woofers who are interested in cooking.
Here, you are free to cook as you see fit, looking at the ingredients in the kitchen.

<A note to woofers from October to March>
Our town is located at an altitude of 500m above sea level, so it is cool and comfortable in summer,
In winter, the mornings and evenings are bitterly cold, with some days from December to February close to 0°C.
At its coldest, the temperature drops to as low as minus 10°C,
In the coldest season, the lowest temperature drops to minus 10 degrees Celsius.
The accommodation for the woofers is located about 10 meters away from the restrooms,
The bathrooms are located about 10 meters away,
You may feel a little cold while moving there.
If you are coming as a woofer during the winter, please remember to wear warm clothes.
In particular, please remember to bring clothing that will keep you warm at night and when you go to bed.
<About bathing>
There are no bath or shower facilities in the woofer's quarters.
Therefore, the woofers are asked to use the local public bathhouse,
which is about a 5-minute walk away,
(200 yen per use, available from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm)
This bath has very good quality hot spring water,
But unfortunately, there are no showers.
There is another public bathhouse that has showers a little further away .
＜注意＞
＜10月から3月の寒い時期にかけて、ウーフされる方へのご注意＞
私たちにの街は標高が500mあり、夏は涼しくて快適に過ごせますが、
冬は朝や夕方の冷え込みは厳しく、12月から2月は0度近い日もあり、
一番寒い時は最低気温がマイナス10度くらいまで下がる寒冷地です。
また、ウーファーさんたちに泊まっていただく宿舎は、
トイレが10mほど離れているところにあるので、
そこに移動する間、少し寒く感じるかもしれません。
冬の期間にウーファーとして来られる方は、くれぐれも暖かい服装を忘れずに用意してください。
特に、夜、寝る時にしっかりと体を温められる服装を忘れずにご持参ください。
※
ウーファーの宿舎にはお風呂やシャワー施設がありません。
そのため、ウーファーさんたちには、
歩いて5分くらいのところにある地域の共同浴場を利用していただいています。
（１回２００円。利用時間朝10時から夜の10時まで）
このお風呂はとてもいい質の温泉が出てるのですが、
残念ながらシャワーがありません。
少し離れた場所にある共同浴場の方にはシャワーもあります。
We believe that this is a place for trial and error and experimentation
to see if we can create a system that will help solve the problems of farmers and local communities
that are suffering from labor shortages by building cooperative relationships
among local residents, people from all over the world, and people of different ages
through cooking, eating, and farm work together.

Normally, Tuesdays and Wednesdays are day off for woofers as well,
but if farmers ask for help with farm work,
either one of these days may be a day of farm work etc.
火曜日、水曜日は通常はカフェは定休日となっています。
通常、ウーファーさんにとっても火曜日、水曜日は休みとなりますが、
農家から農作業を手伝って欲しいとの依頼があったりした場合、
どちらか1日、作業日となることもあります。
If you would like to have breakfast at Harappa Café,
please arrive at about 08:30 am.
And you can take leftover in the refridge.
If there is no leftover, you can cook something by yourself.
朝食を食べたい方は、午前8時半までに原っぱカフェに来てください。
冷蔵庫には前日の残り物が入ってますので、自由に取って食べていいです。
もし、何もないときは、キッチンにある食材を使って、自分で料理をしても構いません。
(ただし、客席に座っての朝食は9時までに終えてください。9時になったらその日の活動が始まります
9時までに朝食を食べられなくても、（調理をしながらになりますが）なにか食べることはできます。

Even if you didn’t finish your breakfast before 9:00 yet,
please start your activities anyway at 9:00.
But you can still have something to eat while you are cooking in the kitchen.
All the activities here are not paid-work for you.
but we think the Time to start are very important.
Please wear on apron while you work.
Aprons are stored in the back room of the café and you can put your things there.
And put the small towel into your apron pocket to dry your hands after washing.
This is to prevent from FOOD POOSNING happened.
Recently there are many FOOD POSIONING in this prefecture.
＜about Music while we are cooking＞
We usually do not play music while we are cooking. We also ask that you please refrain from listening to personal music through earphones or headphones while cooking. The reason for this is to avoid the risk of not being able to hear the sounds of judging the level of cooking and the risk of injury to the staff around you. (You are free to play music while cleaning up during clean-up time)
９時から活動が始まります。
料理をするときにはエプロンをしてください。
エプロンはカフェの一番奥の倉庫の隅にあります。
（わからない場合は他のスタッフ、または店長に尋ねてください）
荷物は自分の部屋か、カフェの奥にある部屋に置くことができます。
エプロンには各自、自分専用のお手拭き用タオルをポケットに入れてください
。
（お手拭き用タオルを共用するのは、もし、誰か一人の手が汚れていた場合、
食中毒の危険が広がる可能性があるためです。）
＜料理を作っている間の音楽について＞
料理を作っている間は、通常、音楽をかけてません。
また、料理を作っている最中はイヤホンやヘッドホンで個人的に音楽を聞くのもご遠慮ください。
その理由は、料理のやけ具合の音が聞こえなかったり、周りのスタッフとの間で怪我が起きたりするリスクを避けたいからです。
（片付けの時間は音楽をかけながら片付けをすることは自由です）
Remember to take turns cleaning the toilets with your staff and do it daily.
As long as it is not dirty, simply flush the toilet floor with plenty of water.
As for the toilet seat, wash it with detergent and then wipe it with a toilet wet paper towel.
Wash and dry the dishes and cups in the sink and pu them back to their original places.
and Clean all the working places including outside of the cafe building.
トイレの掃除をスタッフどうしでで交代しながら、忘れずに毎日おこなってください。
汚れていない限りは、トイレの床はたっぷりの水で流すだけでいいです。
便座に関しては洗剤をつけて洗ったあと、トイレ用のウエットタオルで拭いてください。
シンク（洗い場）内に残っている使用済みのお皿やコップなどを洗って、拭いてください。
洗い物を置くカゴの中に残っている皿やコップは全て所定の場所に戻してください。
スタッフがたくさんいるときは、それぞれの人が自分で気になる場所（カフェの外も含む）を掃除したり、拭いたりしてください。
Please start your cooking. You can cook anything you like. But sometimes we ask you what we need to cook.
In that case, please help us at first.
At our kitchen, we think that you can cook anything you'd like or want to try as possible.
But in Japan, some ingredients are much more expensive than other countries.
In that case, please think to change them into something which is easy to get.
このキッチンでは基本的に何を作ってもらってもいいです。
ただ、時々、こちらから指定して調理をお願いすることもありますので、その時はご協力ください。
私たちのキッチンでは、可能な限り、作りたい料理、作ってみたい料理に取り組んでもらえるようにしたいと思っています。
ただ、日本でのいくつかの食材は、（季節にもよりますが、s外国の他の国よりもとても高いものがあるので、
買うことができなかったり、少ししか買えないということがあります。
その場合は、何か他の食材に置き換えることを考えてみてください。
Cooking in the morning ends at 12:00.
Staff can start eating around 12:00 p.m. if there are not so many customers,
But depending on the number of customers and how busy the restaurant is, they may start eating around 2:00 p.m.
午前の調理は12時で終わりです。
スタッフは、おきゃさんが多くなさそうなら、12時ぐらいから食べ始めることができますが、
お客さんの混み具合、忙しさによって午後2時ぐらいからとなることもあります。
Usually it is 1 or 2 hours. Please wear farming clothes and boots with hat or cap.
At 4 or 5, we'll be back to Cafe usually.
何人かのスタッフ、あるいはスタッフ全員で地元の知り合いの農家のお手伝い
通常は１〜２時間程度の作業です。農作業ができる服装と長靴、帽子などを準備してください。
1日の作業は、平均で6時間ぐらいになるように、調整をしますが、その日の作業によって長くなったり、
逆に早く終わることもあります。（平均で５時間になるよう、調整します）
In Summer time, we sometimes go to farm early in the morning, or have a break time until the temparature become cool down,
and then we'll go to farm to help farmers.
in order to prevent heat stroke.
通常は、午前中、３時間、午後３時間の活動を終えたら、その日の活動は終わりです。
そのあとは自由に過ごしていただいてかまいません。
（ときどき、長くなったり、短くなったりすることもありますが、平均して1日として平均６時間程度になるように調整しています。）
ボランティアさんたちはWWOOFのルールと同様に１週間に1日休みを取ることができます。
Usually, after ３ hours of activities in the morning and ３ hours in the afternoon, the day's activities are over.
After that, you are free to spend the rest of the day as you please.
(Sometimes the day is longer, sometimes shorter, but on average we try to keep the day to about ６ hours.)
All the volunteers can have 1 off day per a week, as well as the WWOOFer's rules.

You can use the hall and kitchen of Harappa Café in the evening.
If there are leftovers of the lunch in the refridge,
feel free to eat them for your dinner.
If not, you are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare your own food.
Before you use any vegetables, meat or seasoning for your dinner,
be sure to ask permission from our staff,
as sometimes the ingredients are needed for the next day’s café menu.
Or we often cook some meals together.
In that case, plaese help cooking together
and please don’t forget wash dishes after eating always.
You can choose to eat out to the town,
but please pay for your own meals.
Naturally, if you buy the ingredients yourself,
feel free to use the kitchens to prepare any food you wish.
夕食はカフェの客席で自分のいい時間に食べてください。
他のスタッフと一緒に食べてもいいし、先に一人で食べてもかまいません。
冷蔵庫にはお昼の残りのおかずが入ってますので、自由に食べて結構です。
もし、残り物がないときは、キッチンにある食材を使って料理をしてかまいませんが、
次の日に使うために特別に準備してある場合もありますので、一応、使う前に尋ねてください。
一緒に料理をして一緒に食べることもあります。
食べ終わったら食器や調理器具をきれいに洗って、元の位置に戻してください。
また、外食に行くことや、食材を買ってきてカフェのキッチンで調理をすることも自由ですが、
その場合は、費用はご自分で負担してください。
Upstairs of Harappa Cafe is an apartment local residents live.
So we have to take care not to annoy them with noisy sounds.
Sometimes we have troubele with the sounds.
If you want to play music,
you can do it in or in front of Harappa House which is your adcomodation.
But usually, we can't make a big sound or voice after 9 pm.
And also you had better make sure to get consent of other staffs' in the same house when you play music.
夜、原っぱカフェでゆったりと自由に過ごしていただいてかまいません。
夜の１0時ぐらいまでは原っぱカフェはフリースペースとして開いています。
ただ、午後9時 以降は、原っぱカフェの店内や店の外で楽器を鳴らすのはご遠慮ください。
原っぱカフェの２階がアパートになっていて、ときどきトラブルとなったため、
２階の住民の方との取り決めで決まりました。
また、カフェの店内でも大きな音で楽器を鳴らしたり、歌を歌わないでください。
（ミュージックプレイヤーの大音量の再生も）
「原っぱハウス（スタッフの宿泊施設）」では音楽ができますが、
夜９時以降はご遠慮ください。
（また、一緒に滞在している他のスタッフにも必ず了承を得てください）
午後１０時には原っぱカフェのスペースは完全にクローズになり、ドアはロックされます。
We will close the café and we’ll lock every doors of the cafe at 10:00pm.

All of the Workawayers and WWOOFers are volunteers here.
But for the customes, they see us as a staff of this cafe restaurant.
So please follow these rules belows.
*Before you touch the food, wash your hands everytime and keep them always clean.
Needless to say, you can't drink alcohol while you are working.
If you drink it before our activities over, you can't work here.
調理をするとき、食材を触る時は、常に手をあらうことを忘れないでください。
包丁やまな板、鍋、調理器具などを使った後は、
いつもすぐに洗っておいてください。次に使う人がすぐに使えるように。
ワークアウェイヤーさんやウーファーさんなど全てのスタッフは
ここではボランティアとして、お手伝いをしてもらっています。
それでもお客さんにとってはここのお店のスタッフとして見られており、
衛生や安全面で一定の責任を負っています。
料理を始めるときは必ず手をよく洗ってください。
食中毒を出すと、営業停止となります。

At our kitchen, we usually use hot water,
and we don’t use any soap or detergent to wash dishes and others,
except for the case its very oily or dirty.
If they are oily, please use brown powder called ‘NUKA’ which is made of rice bran.
It’s very useful to clean oily things.
私たちのキッチンでは、通常は、洗剤や石鹸などを使わずに洗い物をしています。
置いてある、縁取りされた四角いタオルは、食器洗い専用に作られたタオルで、
油汚れでさえもよく落とすことのできる、優れもののタオルです。
お湯で流し洗いをしながら、食器を洗ってください。
（洗い用のタオルが、どれかわからない時はオーナーに尋ねてください）
また、すごく油汚れがひどい場合は、ヌカを使ってみてください。
ヌルヌルだった食器の油汚れが嘘のようにきれいになります。

We usually buy the vegetables from our friend farmers.
And we use the reduced pesticide rice from our friend farmers we often go to help.
And we buy other ingredients at the local supermarket.
We want to use local and non or reduced pesiticide vegetables as much as possible.
But if we can't find them, we use the other ingredients depending on the case.
原っぱカフェでは、農家さんから野菜をわけていただいたり、
町内のスーパーの産直コーナーのお野菜を中心に買っています。
なるべく地元の食材、農薬の少ないものを使いますが、
それでも足りない場合は、それ以外の野菜も使っています。
All the staffs can cook anything you want at our restaurant.
And if you want me to buy some ingredients for your cooking,
please write it down on the paper which is on the refridge.
Of course, I want to respond your request as much as possible.
But if the ingredients are too expensive or have too much additives and preservatives or is difficult to get,
We may not be able to buy it.
At our restaulant, the total cost we can buy on that day is restricted depending on management circumstances.
Of course, we always prepare the basic ingredients for our usual menu.
But we can't always prepare the ingredients for the dessert, for example, nuts, cream, cheese etc.
But when you really want to use those kinds of ingredients which we don't have,
please buy those with your own money.
原っぱカフェのキッチンでは、スタッフはみんな自分の作りたい料理を作ってかまいません。
もし、自分の作りたい料理のために買ってきてほしい食材がある場合は、
冷蔵庫に貼ってある紙に書いておいてください。
できるだけ要望には答えられるように買い物をしたいと思っていますが、
それが、町内ではあまりに高い値段であったり、
添加物や保存料をたくさん使っているようなものしかない場合、
買うことができない場合もあります。
また、経営の事情で、1日に仕入れることのできる食材の総額が決まっています。
もちろん、基本的な食材調味料は必ず用意していますが、
デザート用の果物やナッツ類、乳製品などは用意してないこともあります。
基本的には、在庫がある中での料理をお願いします。
また、どうしても在庫以外の食材も使って調理をしたい場合は、
大変申し訳ないですが、スタッフ個人の負担となってしまいます。
本当は、全てのスタッフがいつでもなんでも料理、デザート作りが可能なように、
食材を揃えたいのですが、現在の経営状況からすると、
そこまでの余裕はない状況です。
どうかご理解とご協力をお願いします。
Especially, the ingredients belows are often difficult to get in our town.
Cheese ( Sometimes Ryuji's brother give to us, in that case, please use them first.)
Avocado
Beans (chickpeas, rentil and so on）
Nuts (Hazelnuts, Cashew nuts, etc)
Bacon, Sausage (We can't get those without additives and preservatives in our town.）
Butter （We usually buy only 2 boxes everyday. But usually we can't buy more than it.)
特に以下のような食品が、、町内ではお手頃価格でゃんとしたものが手に入りづらいです。
・チーズ（オーナーの兄がチーズ職人なので、時々、彼のチーズが手に入ることがあります。その時はまずそれを使ってみてください）
・アボカド
・豆類（特にひよこ豆、レンズ豆など。でも時々、買います）
・ナッツ（特にヘーゼルナッツやカシューナッツは町内では高いです）
・ベーコン、ソーセージ類（町内では、添加物や保存料を使ったものしか手に入らなので、ほとんど買いません。たまに自家製を作ります）
・バター（1日に２箱だけ買っています。みんなでうまく分けあって使ってください）

While you are doing your activities,
you can go to toilet anytime you want.
When you go there, please check the toilet papers and garbage in the box.
If there are some papers left, please change with new one.
And if the box is filled with garbage, also change with new plastic bags.
If you found the toilet a little bit dirty,
please clean it as soon as possible.
So that we can use it very comfortable anytime.
トイレは活動の最中でも、遠慮なく自分の判断で行ってかまいません。
トイレに紙がないことに気づいたら、ペーパーの補充をお願いします。
（トイレットペーパーがない時は、オーナーの浦田にお尋ねください）
また、トイレに置いてあるゴミ箱のビニール袋がいっぱいになっているのに気づいたら
交換をしてください。
トイレが汚れていることに気づいたら、その都度の掃除にご協力ください。
常にきれいな状態にして気持ちよくみんなでトイレを使いましょう。

All volunteers are allowed at least one day off per week according to the woofer rules.
However, most of the time here we actually take two days off during the week, unless there is an urgent café appointment or a farmer asks us to do farm work.
In that case, the café is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when everyone is off.
If you need a day off on any other day, please feel free to consult with the owner, Mr. Urata.
すべてのボランティアの人たちはウーファーのルールにしたがって、１週間に最低１日は休みを取ることができます。
ただし、ここでは、急なカフェの予約や、農家から農作業の依頼などがない限り、週に2日間休みにすることが実際には多いです。
その場合は、カフェの定休日、火曜日、水曜日が全員の休みとなります。
それ以外の日でお休みがほしい時はオーナーの浦田に気軽に相談をしてください。
Even on your Day Off. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available for you at Harappa Café,
But for LUNCH on cafe open day, please have lunch at around 2:00 pm with the cooking staffs together.
And if you want to use kitchen on your day off when cafe is open for customers,
please be cafeful not to disturb the staff to cook.
休みの日は、自由に過ごしてかまいません。
また、休みの日であっても、朝昼晩の食事は、いつものように原っぱカフェで食べることができますが、
カフェの営業日の場合、昼食については、料理スタッフと一緒に（だいたい午後２時ぐらい）食べてください。
また、カフェの営業日に、休みを取っている人がキッチンを使う場合は、
料理をしている人の作業の邪魔にならないように気をつけてください。

The entrance of Harappa Share House
When you arrive at our cafe, we will take you to your room at first.
And we'll hand you new sheets for comforter（duvet）and mattress, pillow case.
Please make sure you put and use those sheets for your bed.
If you don't use them and the inner futon became dirty,
you have to pay some money for the cleaning.
And always keep clean your room.
Because sometimes you suddenly have to change your room to another one.
Everytime when you go out of your room,
please make sure all electronic devices turn off,
most importantly the fire stove.
All of the Staffs are staying in the STAFF HOUSE’ together,
so please be quiet at night, don’t disturb anyone’s sleeping at night.
When you finish your staying period,
please clean up everything for the next staffs.
＜Futon Slieeping mats & sheets on them＞
Please make sure to use sheets on your sleeping mat.
If you don't use, or if you make it dirty, we may ask you the cleaning fee for those.
So please be careful for that.
最初に原っぱカフェに到着した時には、まずあなたをご自分の部屋に案内します。
上布団を入れる布シーツ（袋になっていてジッパーで開閉できます）と敷布団にかぶせるシーツ、枕カバーの３種類をお渡しします。
これは必ず使ってください。
もし使わないで中の布団や枕が汚れてしまった場合はクリーンング代金のお支払いをお願いするかもしれません。
部屋を出るときは、いつもライトなど、電気製品のスイッチを忘れずに切ってください
。
またストーブは、火災の危険性もあるので、特に切り忘れのないように注意してください。
原っぱハウスは全てのスタッフが一緒に寝泊まりしています。
夜は他の人の邪魔にならないように静かにしてください。
滞在期間が終了して部屋を出る時は、次のスタッフの方のために必ず部屋をきれいに掃除しておいてください。
布団本体が汚れないように、上下の布団に使うシーツ、枕カバーは必ず使用してください。
また、もしシーツを使わずに、あるいは、使用する人の不注意で布団が汚れた場合は
クリーニング代の負担をお願いする場合がありますので、ご注意ください

スタッフの宿泊施設にはWifiがあります。

※たくさんの人が同時に使うと、時々、インタ−ネット使えなくなることがありますが、
ほとんどの場合、wifiルーターの電源を挿し直すことで回復します。

この温泉は、伝統的な日本風の建物のため、シャワーがありません。

You can use the laundly machine which is in the kitchen at the Staffs’ house.
But the room the laundly machine is set is also some staffs room.
So please don't use it when it's late at night.
Please buy your detergent by yourself at the Drug Store COSMOS
which is across the SEVEN ELEVEN store.
If you found the towels for our cafe,
Please take out, hung and dry them.
＜洗濯＞
スタッフハウスのキッチンにある洗濯機を使うことができます。
ただ、スタッフの誰かがキッチンのある部屋で休んでいるかもしれませんので、
遅い時間の洗濯機の使用は控えてください。洗剤は、カフェにある洗剤を使っていいです。
自分で別の洗剤を選んで買ってきたい場合は自分の費用で買ってください。
洗濯機を使おうとした時に、洗濯機の中にカフェで使うタオルが入っていたら、
お手数ですが、取り出して、干しておいてください。

Please put the BURNABLE garbage into the YELLOW bag and other garbages into TRANSPARENT plastic bags.

＜部屋のゴミについて＞
燃えるゴミは、由布市指定の黄色い色のビニール袋に入れてください。
その他のゴミは、透明な袋なら何に入れてもいいのですが、

You can make and drink your own organic coffee, tea, milk,
and other beverages at the Harappa Cafe anytime you like.
However, please put the actual cost of 100 yen per cup in the 'fair box' to which our customers pay.
＜カフェでのコーヒーについて＞
原っぱカフェでは、お客さんに出しているのと同じ（通常は400円の）オーガニックコーヒー、紅茶、ミルクなどのドリンク類を
いつでも好きな時に自分で作って飲んでかまいません。
ただし、実費として、一杯につき、100円をお客さんが入れるお代箱に入れてください。

In Harappa Café, you will meet many people.
Please greet each other every time and introduce yourself and be good to everyone.
Especially greeting is very important among the staffs when we met for the first time nt the morning.
When our customer comes in to our cafe, please say to them 'IRASSYAIMASE' which means 'Welcome'.
And when they leave, please say to them 'Arigato Gozaimashita' which means 'Thank you very much.'

原っぱカフェではたくさんの人に出会うと思います。
お互いに気持ちよく挨拶をし、お互いに仲良くしてください。
特に朝、スタッフどうし、最初に会った時の挨拶は大切にしてください。
お客さんがカフェに入ってきた時は、「いらっしゃいませ」と声をかけてください。
お客さんがカフェを出ようとする時は「ありがとうございました」と声をかけてください。

Please don’t drink alcohol before or while you are acting as staffs
to prevent from hauting other staffs with hot oil or knives and so on.
＜お酒について＞
（当たり前のことですが）活動前、活動中は、お酒を飲まないでください。
熱い油やお湯、ナイフなどを使いますので、自分や他の人に危険が及ぶ場合があります。
また、万一の事故のときに、飲酒状態ではボランティア保険が効かない場合もあります。
その日の活動が終了すれば、お酒を飲むのは自由です。
